Savannah's hair regimen and recipe:
"I’ve been using henna to dye my hair for a little over a year now and I love it! I used to bleach my hair blonde for years and have had every color of hair under the sun…needless to say my hair was fried, and badly damaged. I tried every product in the store to try to restore my hair and nothing worked, until I did some research online and stumbled upon henna. I was a bit skeptical at first, after all, I tried every salon product out there and nothing worked well, so how will a little plant help? Boy was I surprised! I bought henna, indigo and amla powders online, mixed them together and after many hours and quite a mess, my hair looked gorgeous! I’ve been using henna for over a year now to dye my hair a perfect shade of auburn brown.
My recipe is as follows…
200g of henna powder 100g of Indigo powder 50 g of Amla powder
I mix up the henna with lemon juice the night before I want to dye my hair, let it sit overnight, then I mix the indigo and amla powders with warm water and add them to my henna mix. Let it sit on my hair for 3-4 hours, rinse and voila!
I love the way my hair looks and how fast it grows now. I’m always getting compliments from people about how nice and shiny my hair is. I will never go back to commercial hair dyes again."
I left this on my hair for only 1.5 hours and got a beautiful dark coppery red! I'm in love with this henna!
I mixed it with hot tea and a dash of aloe vera powder, and it was so easy to apply and rinse out, easier than the Jamila I previously used. I'll definitely be buying more when this runs out!
So I was going for more of a dark reddish brown look that's why I chose this type of Henna, but I think my mixing of Henna and Indigo was off. So that next time I am going to try more henna and less Indigo. However, over all this product did with cover my grays which was the sole purpose of me Henning.
Love it. It give my hair a reddish tint. Leaves it very soft.
First of all, let me just say that my hair has improved greatly since using Henna Sooq's henna products. My hair is stronger and my growth retention is at the rate I have not seen in years. I use this particular henna for my henna gloss mix as well as full henna treatments with indigo.
I make the way it’s guide but colour didn’t come out as I expected.
