Instructions

Steep 1 tea bag in 2 cups of hot water for 20-30 minutes. Remove tea bag from liquid. Allow to cool down to a warm temperature. Never pour hot liquid on your hair. Ideally apply our hair tea rinse in the shower. As you slowly pour the tea over your wet head, massage the infusion into your hair and scalp. If you keep a large bowl under your head you can catch the liquid and reapply again. Let it sit in your hair for a few minutes. Gently rinse with cool water or for extra conditioning benefits, leave herbal tea rinse in your hair and towel dry hair.

We recommend 1 bag per use, every 2 weeks.

Should you have leftovers or made a big batch of hair tea rinse, you can refrigerate leftover hair tea for 7-10 days in a clean airtight container. Do not refrigerate tea in aluminum containers.

This delightful blend of botanical gems does wonders for my curly locks. It's helped to tighten up my curls after my latest henna application. I've applied henna 5 times since spring of this year and my bouncy ringlets were looking more like waves. I steeped the tea for 20 minutes in hot, filtered water (tap water where I live = bad) and let the bag rest on a screen over my bowl to drip for a bit. I refrained from squeezing, since I think I can get another use out of the bag, which is now in a Ziploc in the freezer. = )
It's been a week since my henna application, and this is the first real wash I've done. I used the cassia + neem hair wash (another awesome product that soothes my eczema-prone scalp like nothing else), let that sit and do its thing, then I rinsed well and poured the tea over my head. I used a second large bowl to catch the tea and just kept pouring it over my head and massaging into my scalp and working into my hair strands until gone. After, I pinned up my hair and went about the rest of my shower. I let the tea rest in my hair, used a WetBrush to detangle and allowed it air dry afterwards.
I won't say that my curls are back to being as tightly wound as they were before henna, but the difference I saw after my hair dried is undeniable. I also have some amazing shine going on and my hair looks super-healthy. I love the smell, too! I can detect the rose, chamomile and some of the spicy clove.
I am so, so pleased with this product. Yes, it's a pricey 2-pack, but it WORKS. Definite repurchase for me!
Thank you, Khadija for bringing the States some homegrown Moroccan hammam love!
