How To
Mix organic cassia with warm to hot distilled water as a hair treatment (hair recipes can be found on our How To page or use as is). Let the cassia sit for about 15 minutes and then apply onto hair that has been freshly washed with our hair washes or shampoo bars. Hair treatments can stay in the hair for 1-2 hours. When dyeing hair, mix cassia (for golden tones) at 100% OR mix henna and cassia in the proportions needed for the tone you want to achieve. Strawberry blonde is 3 parts cassia to 1 part henna. Copper tones is 50/50 of henna and cassia. Once you blend the dry herbs, then add your warm to hot distilled water and mix well. Allow cassia and henna mix to sit 3-4 hours for dye release. Apply on freshly washed hair. Leave this treatment in hair for 3-4 hours. Rinse out with our cleansing cowash to restore moisture for all hair treatments, masks and coloring. Moisturize, dry and style as usual. Warning: For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. Always test all henna, herbs and products on your skin/scalp before use for possible allergies. Henna and Ayurvedic herbs can be drying to some hair types. Be sure to add necessary moisturizing ingredients to your hair treatments before and after. Henna can also loosen the curl pattern. Be sure to use amla or zizyphus powders or masks to maintain curl pattern.
Cassia is a semi permanent and needs to be repeated every 2-3 weeks. This herb will loosen your curl pattern, should this apply.

I highly recommend using Cassia. I have remaining highlights from over the counter health food store options and there have been no problems. The Cassia only enriched the color.
This time there was extra steep time before application and wasnt planned. I'm not sure if this weakens the coloring strength. I have a few stubborn Grey root areas at the hairline.
I've always noticed the healthy shine afterwards and plan to do a second application soon for those stubborn grey areas. I'm sold when henna is described as "food for your scalp and hair".. along with the benefits of the added amla and aloe powder!
I love cassia power. In my current henna recipe I use it in equal parts with henna. I use it when I do an amla treatment. And if I just want to do a aloe and cassia treatment, those I do a lot on my husband to help with flakes. Cassia is just all around great!
Organic Cassia Powder
Yet another extremely high quality product from Henna Sooq. Been using their BAQ henna products for over 13 years and started adding cassia for a more golden tone to my red and it works so well. 10/10!
Worked great for that purpose. Mixed well rinsed out well
