Ingredients

Sweet Honey Hair Nourisher: honey, vegetable glycerine*, helianthus annuus (sunflower) oil, olea europaea (extra virgin olive) oil,* ricinus communis (castor) oil*, behentrimonium methosulfate (and) cetearyl alcohol, limnanthes alba (meadowfoam) seed oil, panthenol, cassia obovata (cassia) powder*, cymbopogon fleuosus (lemongrass) oil, and optiphen (preservative)

How To

Prewash your hair with one of our Hair Washes or Shampoo Bars. Apply moderate amount onto your damp hair strands by sections, from root to ends of your hair (masque can be used on scalp). Once complete, wrap your hair in a shower cap or hair wrap. Leave in hair for 1-2 hours. For low porosity hair, you may use a heat cap or steamer for better penetration. Rinse our thoroughly using our Cleansing CoWash. Moisturize, dry and style as usual.

This product can be used every 2-3 weeks and in alternation with our Cocoveda Hair Masque.

For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. Patch test against allergies before use.

Overpowering Scent & Scalp Irritation

I usually LOVE the smell of lemongrass and was excited to try this product because of the reviews and it smelled wonderful...AT FIRST. After 10 minutes or so of applying, the scent was just way too strong. I had to cover my nose with a mask to keep from feeling sick from the pungent essential oil. After letting it sit in my hair for 20 minutes and rinsing then co-washing, I noticed 3 things: 1.) My hair was INCREDIBLY soft 2.) the scalp around my edges was very inflamed, and 3.) my edges were thinner and I lost significantly more hair than on a normal wash day. I think the amount of essential oil in this product was overkill for me and that's probably what led to my scalp sensitivity. (I've used all the other ingredients in some shape or form on my hair previously and never had any type of reaction). I so wanted to be able to love this product because my hair felt wonderful and very hydrated...but I want to keep it on my head, so this is a hard no for me. NEVER AGAIN.

I use this product as a pre-poo on wash day. My hair loves products with honey in them. This one is my favorite! I use it on my damp hair to soften my coils and remove shed hair before shampoo. It left my hair soft, moisturized and full of shine. The only reason why I gave 4 stars is because the Lemongrass essential oil is too overpowering for my liking. I think Sweet Orange or Peppermint essential oil would have been better. Otherwise, this is a great product for anyone looking to add extra moisture to their hair.

Awesome product

This product is amazing. I used it as a mask leaving it on for 30 minutes and washed my hair after with the rosemary tangerine and clary Sage cowash. It left my hair soft silky and smelling awesome. I recommend this product and will gladly purchase it again. My only caution is wear gloves when applying it and make sure your hair is damp because it is sticky due to being made of honey. The sweet honey hair nourisher is amazing.
