I hope I can find a way to add pictures, but just the way my hair feels after my first treatment, I am never going back! And the process was slightly messy but I found it super fun!
Beforehand I was prepared for henna to dry my already dry hair, and potentially lose my curl pattern (2B or 2C), because I read that’s sometimes the case for high porosity hair. I left the henna on for 1 hour and the indigo for 10-15 minutes. I wish I had left the indigo on longer for cooler toned hair, but I didn’t want to risk it being too dark, especially my first time. The results: My hair feels stronger and softer, tangles less if at all, and is a beautiful color, dark copper, not sure what to call it yet? Definitely red-brown. My hair before was faded out auburn, with a lot of white at the crown of my head. I truly am so happy I finally did this!
I am wondering if next time, if I do go for more of a soft black color with longer indigo saturation-would I be able to return to this color or similar?
