Instructions

Place the quantity of powder you'll need for your hair length (100 grams will be enough for shoulder length hair) in a bowl. Slowly add warm distilled water to your powder and mix well. Once your consistency meets that of pancake batter then your mix is ready to be used. Apply onto your hair (ideally clean and damp) by sections and thoroughly massage into your hair to reach your scalp. Allow this mask to be in your hair at least 60 minutes and up to 2 hours. Rinse/wash your hair thoroughly. Dry and style as usual. This mask can be used every 2-3 weeks. This will not color your hair.

This mask was very hydrating, I don't know if it's because I used aloe vera juice instead of water or what. It had lots of slip and the color was so pretty. Smells herbally lol. My hair had lots of definition. It was quite messy tho. This is my second time trying Henna Sooq and I'm happy with the masks. I have 4b/4a coils.

The goddess treatment was really great for my short high porosity hair. After the treatment my hair was full of moisture.

  • Really strengthens hair. My hair loves this combination

I have spent so much money on hair products- expensive ones. No product I have ever used works so well for me. My hair is very fine and often damaged from bleaching done at salons. My hair is about a medium blonde with highlights. Goddess hair strengthens my hair. When I wash it out to blow dry, none of my fragile hair snaps. It is so shiny, not one hair comes out when combing after washing, and it conditions it like crazy. I love all the herbs in this combination; my favorite being amla. I also buy the amla powder and use that as well. For my hair type- fine, damaged, blonde, herbal powders work better for me than herbal oils. Herbal powders are easy for me to wash out. I tend to just mix this with water and I coat my hair with it. I use a lot. I also leave it on for many hours. The trick to getting it out easily in the shower is to have a lot of conditioner on hand. I start by lathering my hair with conditioner first. I do this several times. Then I use a gentle shampoo (once so I don't dry it out). I follow it up by conditioning one last time and rinsing out. It sounds like a lot of work but it takes about 5 minutes. I think the key to getting it out on my type of hair is using conditioner more so than shampoo. Shampoo just seems to diminish all the great effects of these herbs. I will mention that because I leave the mixture on so long, my hair comes out reddish because of the hibiscus powder. Unlike henna though, hibiscus will wash away after several washes. I truly think this is the holy grail of hair products. I often see high dollar hair products at Ulta that tout a particular herb or oil, like amla (Indian gooseberry), aloe, etc. When you look at the ingredients, the magical herb in the product is listed almost or actually last. Why pay so much for a product that has so little of the good stuff, when you can just use the actual herb 100%? I love henna sooq because they also list the date of their batch, so you know you are getting top quality. I love pretty much all of the herbal powder masks sold by henna sooq, except for henna because I'm not ready to stop getting the occasional highlights at the salons. I totally recommend Goddess Hair.

Okay so initially when I bought this I was not going to to purchase again because of how messy it was. It was definitely hard to get out of my 4a hair. I also have low porosity so I feared it was going to dry out my hair. I mixed it as directed but added some honey and a dash of henna powder. I left it on for an hour and then blew out my hair. MY HAIR IS SO SOFT!!! I’ll definitely be purchasing these again. This stuff is great!

I have used this product before with great results. I decided to try something different, I melted cocoa butter, mango butter, and shea butter in my small crockpot and added to the goddess hair mixture, I also added some brahmi. Initially, the mixture was too runny and my hair is long and thick (4a/4b). I always need more than 1 bag if I'm not adding additional herbs. I added a 2nd bag of the goddess blend and thought I had the perfect consistency but low and behold when I started applying to my freshly washed hair it did not easily apply. Instead, it became too thick and clumped up and made a huge mess in my bathroom. I love hennasooq products and refused to throw out this trainwreck of a mixture; so, being the "self-certified kitchenitican" that I am - I placed some marshmallow root powder and slippery elm in a container and added hot water...once the mucus came out of that, I added it to my goddess mixture and was able to save my mixture. I reapplied the mixture much easier to my hair and left on for 3 hours. When I washed it out, my hair was beautiful. Lesson learned - mix with water first and then add the melted butters and oils. I do like the sukesh ayuveda better but I love this mix especially on my daughters hair. The additional product I had left over, I was able to freeze and will use again at a later date.
