You can make a hot water infusion with this herb, and other ayurvedic herbs such as shikakai, amla, brahmi, and others of your choice. Steep them for about 3-4 minutes, and then strain. Use the liquid as a hair rinse after you shampoo and/or condition your hair. Rinse it all out really well. This is best used directly in the shower as it can run. You can also leave this in if you wrap it tightly with a shower cap. Leave this in for about 30 minutes to an hour When using your favorite conditioner, you can make an ayurvedic herbal gloss. Apply this all over your hair, by sections and then place a shower cap on, or saran wrap. Leave this on for 30 minutes to an hour.
Prepare this herb as a paste (you can add any other ayurvedic herbs as you’d like), and use it in place of your shampoo. This paste cane be made with a tea brew, or just warm water. You can then wash it out, and then condition (deep, leave in conditioner depending on your hair type) afterwards.
Create an amazing hair oil infusion. You can add 2 parts of your favorite hair oils, to one part of herbs of your choice. Allow to steep naturally for at least 4-5 days or more depending on the herbs you use. Some herbs are tougher, and need more fusion time, such as horsetail. If you’d like to speed it up, and we use this method personally, is use a crock pot to allow the oil and herbs to steep at warm temperature for 24-36 hours. Then turn it off, and allow it to sit for another 24-36 hours. Strain in a nylon stocking. I let this actually hang, and slowly drip for the next 24 hours. The I squeeze what I can out afterwards (from out of the stocking). I then pour the oil infusion into an applicator bottle, or squeeze bottle. Keep this stored in a cool, dark place.
I'm loving this Brahmi powder. I infuse it in jojoba oil for a week and use it as a scalp treatment (for growth and cure itchiness). It's awesome <3 Henna Sooq is also the only first website that I've seen that sells PURE, ORGANIC brahmi powder. Will definitely be buying again.
I have use a Brahmi infused oil blend with coconut and jojoba oils to place on my scalp and as a massage oil, thus resulting in thicker hair. I've also used Brahmi as a part of my DIY DC conditioning treatment which have left my hair feeling"strong". I've used Brahmi with aloe vera juice, peppermint and rosemary oils, raw, organic Shea butter all mixed together and set on my air for about an hour. The results were unbelievably soft, strong hair with a defined curl pattern and clumping of my natural hair. It is a reason why I don't want to be without the product because of its benefits to my hair which has been positive. I have seen little to no shedding since using this product. I would recommend persons to incorporate at least one or two Ayurveda herbs/oil into their hair regime, natural or permed, and see the remarkable difference natural herbs and oils can make to ones hair!
I've used this to help with my dandruff along with amla, fenugreek powder, tea tree and rosemary essential oils in Jojoba oil. It has helped me so much. In the future I want to use this to darken my hair again. I know this still has to be mixed with something else to cling to the hair strands. But for the scalp, I love it.
I am absolutely in love with this powder. I used this powder twice since i purchased it. I have noticed less hair shedding and my hair feels extremely strong and looks healthy and shiny. I combined this herb with my other favorite powder, Neem. The results were simply amazing. I am soooo glad i found this website. Thank you Henna Sooq!
The little bit I added to my indigo/henna mix has already shown a difference with less breakage while combing it out after the treatment. I also added aloe vera gel and this, too seems to make a difference, with much less hair in my comb...looking forward to making an infusion and using it after every shampoo..
