Description

Cassia Auriculata

(also known as neutral henna or senna) is a natural Ayurvedic herb.

This Ayurvedic herb will leave your hair glossy, stronger, thicker, dandruff-free, and healthy. Cassia Auriculata gives you all the benefits of henna without color results on dark hair tones. For those with light shades of hair such as blond, strawberry blond or grey hairs the cassia will color your hair and give you the perfect uplift to your natural hair tone.

There are many hair tones you can achieve when using Cassia Auriculata such as:

  • golden blond
  • strawberry blond (along with henna)
  • copper (along with henna)

Instructions and recipes can be found on the Instruction tab, Henna TV and DIY Henna links.

Our Cassia Auriculata powder comes inside an inner foil resealable pouch. This is the best packaging possible to maintain freshness.

Quantity 100 grams

*please do note, that there is no guarantee that the organic cassia will pull golden tones for every person's hair. It's a 50/50 chance it could work for your hair. It can be tough for greys. This treatment is only semi-permanent and only lasts 2-3 weeks.

  • I love how the Cassia makes my grays blond. I can let my hair be natural while geting more grey & it just looks like blond highlights in my dark blond hair.

My hair looks healthy natural & fuller with Cassia. I used the hair tea in my mix. Spraying the hair tea on my dry hair makes it curly.

I've used henna off and on and didn't want my hair to look redheaded so I used this with a ratio of 5 cassia -1henna mixed with Brags with the mother apple cider vinegar. It gave my hair an interesting blondish orange color in my natural highlights, my lighter mousy brown a nice natural-ish strawberry dirty blond color, and did nothing to my dark brownish black under layer. My hair felt soft and manageable though . Did not clog the sink I can say with relief ! Used close to half the bag for my very thick jaw length bob. Next time I will not use henna with it and see if I can get more blond highlights .

I dye release cassia with amla overnight and apply it to my roots for about five hours the next day. Lovely honey tones on my gray hairs and thick and healthy hair!

I bleached my 3c/4b waist length hair last year and decided to stop bleaching and let it grow out as I wanted my healthy hair back. My hair would "stick together" for lack of a better word due to the cuticles being so lifted due to bleach. I was already high porosity prior to the bleach so the bleach made things worse. It was so difficult to detangle even with loads of product because of the cuticle being lifted. ONE cassia gloss made all the difference. Once I rinsed out the gloss and let my hair semi air dry, I had no problem completing my go to protective goddess flat twists. Before, when trying to do the style, my hair would be so difficult trying to separate and twist due to the cuticle being lifted and I would often experience breakage doing while trying to do this protective style. Not after using a cassia gloss. I will continue to keep this in my house.

I have used Cassia (Senna italica) in the past which had an “earthy” odour and fine residue that took a few washes to get out. The first time trying Henna Sooq’s brand (Senna auriculata) which was different with no residual odour or residue. I mixed the Cassia with hot water, honey, olive oil and peppermint oil. I let it sit for 45 mins and left it in my hair for about an hour. I have greys but it did not give the wheat colour highlights (which I usually get with the S. italica. More than likely it was because of the short prep time and length of time on my hair). However, my hair feels soft, it usually helps with my dry scalp especially when it gets colder and it did not leave my hair too dry after application. Some of my curls always slightly loosen - I have fine hair. I will purchase from Henna Sooq again.
