I’m new to the Henna Sooq hairwash and cowashes, although I’ve been using Henna Sooq products for almost six years and have enjoyed their hair masks, coloring, and individual products (courtesy of their
DIY guidance found on their YouTube channel). I really liked this particular bundle for cleansing and conditioning. I have long, wavy hair and was/am used to washing my hair every other day. This bundle worked well for me, my hair is clean and soft, and I have noticed my scalp this Fall is less dry. I saw no difference in my waves, no enhancement and no diminishment, so definitely a plus. Overall a great cleanser. I do continue to use a different brand leave-in conditioner after stepping out of the shower to maintain my waves (I’ve done this for years). I did not have difficulty washing out either of these products. I found the scent very nice, but it is unique and I can see how someone might prefer one of their other product scents. If so, I highly recommend trying them :). I did use the peppermint hairwash/Cowash conditioning set before this one and while I liked the smell, I found myself shedding like crazy after using that product, almost immediately. I had less shedding with this cassia & Neem bundle, and found this to be a better product for my hair in comparison. I intend to try their Zizyphus set soon, so I’m excited. Given that I switched from a completely different product line of natural shampoos & conditioners, I thought the initial hair shedding might have been a reaction to the change.
Overall, the quality of this product is exactly what you would expect from Henna Sooq, high quality with copious amounts of information for how to properly apply and use the product to meet your specific needs. I love that about Henna Sooq.
My only reason for not giving it five stars is because as others have mentioned, the volume you receive is not a lot for the price point and it’s not measured out by liquid volume (fluid ounces, like you would see on your shampoo/conditioner bottles in the store), it’s by mass weight of product. You can easily have a thicker, heavier product that weighs 8oz on a scale, but does not fill the bottle it comes in. When you buy your hair care products, I believe they are measured in liquid ounces, so you receive that volume of product regardless of the mass weight of the product. I have long-ish hair, and as someone that uses Henna Sooq products to help maintain and grow my hair, the price for weighted amount of these washes, and the frequency I need to wash my hair, makes it difficult to use as a regular staple for me personally, but I do like them and would encourage anyone to splurge and try it for themselves.
That said, I would not hesitate to purchase because the quality is great for natural care products and I love how they make my hair and scalp feel.
I absolutely love the way my hair felt after shampooing. I mixed fresh aloe Vera gel and Sukesh Ayurveda with my diy oil into a loose paste; this I used as my pre- poo. I shampoo after the pre poo with the cassia been hair wash. I then applied the henna and indigo. After 3hrs. I then used the cowash. My hair feel wonderful.
The ayurvedic cowash cleanses and with the conditioner smooths and replenishes the highlights, an organic experience!
This combo is fantastic for my microlocs! Ist off, the scent of the Cassia hair wash is so refreshing. The scent of the cowash is light and pleasant. After using both, my microlocs and scalp feel clean and moisturized. It definitely feels like a treat for my hair, I love this duo!
I love this shampoo. It takes care of the itchy and is very smoothing without weighing down the curl pattern in my cobweb fine hair. Definitely will continue buying this.
