i used this henna with careful consideration of all the factors; temperature, dye release timing, expiration date, oxidation. i stained my hand with a testing circle for the first batch, didn't last. another batch in case i got something wrong, with careful adherence to the dye release timing, and a longer drying time, heating, medical tape on top; and a similar result, with the stain SLIGHTLY darker this time, but not being as consistent or vivid as i expect even from low-grade jamila. After a full day, it has faded instead of darkening, even after letting it settle. i'm considering buying moroccan henna from here, because i like that they know where they source it all from, and just in case its a problem with the jamila itself but if this is the result, i don't really feel optimistic about the moroccan dye.
Hello. Thank you for your honest feedback. That is usually one of my faves and I use it as a good beginner one, and when I teach classes. It's such a nice henna and it is good body art quality from the summer of 2023 when it comes out. Do you have photos of your results you could send to us via email to info@hennasooq.com ? I'd really like to go over your recipe and see where some things can be changed or adjusted a bit so we can see if we can get better results for you. For the Moroccan henna this one is a bit more difficult then Jamila henna as far as it's timings and sensitivities. Could you give us a call at 1-833-811-7667? We'd really like to help you get better results and/or send you more henna if needed. - Khadija
It initially stained, but faded drastically over two days.
We're sorry to hear your henna didn't last longer. Usually it should last 7-10 days at least. Please do revisit aftercare steps to ensure your henna always gets the best aftercare when you use any type of henna. If we can help you with your recipe or any other steps as we really want you to have a good henna stain :)
This henna yielded a creamy paste that stained my hair beautifully; it was easy to apply and remove. I added two teaspoons of aloe vera powder to 100 grams of henna, and my hair wasn't dry after rinsing- first time experiencing moisturized hair after henna! I will certainly continue to add aloe vera to my mix; it's a game changer! This was my first purchase from Henna Sooq, and I'll be a returning customer.
I finally used Jamila henna for the first time and it works! I have 4B textured natural hair. My few greys turned into copper red (350 hair copper color). I do recommend adding essential oils for benefits and better smell. I went with the green tea method to mix with my henna. My hair felt stronger after the rinsed. If you have short thick hair, I would also recommend using two teaspoons of aloe powder instead if one. Makes a huge difference to soft moisturize hair strands ( learning from the step two process with Organic Indigo Henna).
love the smoothness and goes on the hair very nicely, compare to some henna product no lumps
