Organic Hibiscus Petal Powder is an essential Ayurvedic herb for healthy hair treatments and is known to improve in the building up of keratin and boost the formation of new hair follicles, thereby stimulating hair growth. It is also used to cleanse the scalp which can reduce dandruff and can prevent premature greying. We found this herb to be very restorative to damaged hair strands. When used in a henna hair coloring recipe it can help to enhance the red dyeing properties. For all hair types and textures.

How to use Hibiscus in Your Hair Care Recipes

In Henna Hair Dye

Use at least 3-4 tbsp of hibiscus petal powder to your henna recipe per 100 grams to boost red tones. Mix your henna recipe as usual.

As a Hibiscus Restorative Hair Mask

Use 6 tbsp of hibiscus petal powder, 2 tbsp honey, 3 tbsp aloe vera powder, 2 tbsp yoghurt and just enough coconut milk (or water) to thicken your ingredients. Mix ingredients so that it is the consistency of a thick pancake batter (similar to a henna recipe). Prewash your hair with our hair wash or shampoo bars. Apply onto damp hair strands and leave on for 1-2 hours. Rinse out with our cleansing cowash, moisturize, dry and style as usual.

As a Facial Mask

Take 2 tbsp of hibiscus petal powder and mix it with about 1-2 tbsp of yoghurt (preferably full fat whole yoghurt) and mix well. Adjust measurements as desired and even add 1 tsp of honey. Apply this mask on your face for 10-15 minutes and then gently wash off.

For skin, these ingredients are soothing, anti-inflammatory and leave skin with a radiant glow. Can be repeated every 1-2 weeks.
