Two Must Have Essential Ingredients for your Henna Hair Coloring Treatment

Two Must Have Essential Ingredients for your Henna Hair Coloring Treatment - Henna Sooq

There are two must have ingredients in your henna hair coloring treatment. These two ingredients will enhance your overall henna for hair experience.

Can you guess what they are?

Ayurvedic Hair Care for DIY Henna Coloring

It doesn’t matter what your hair type is or texture of your strands these two ingredients are a must use for everyone.

The first ingredient is organic amla powder. Add this to the henna part of your recipe (indigo doesn’t mix well with amla when it’s trying to achieve dye release). Amla promotes hair growth, adds volume to your hair and maintains defined curls with loosening (henna can have that affect on curls).

The second ingredient is organic aloe vera powder. This ingredient is the moisture packed herb your henna hair coloring (and can be added to indigo as well) must have in it.

This ingredient has been a major game changer when it comes to naturally coloring your hair that 99.9% of people have said gives them drastically much better results versus without aloe vera powder.
A little also goes a long way.

Just add a small amount of each for best results. Amla about 10% and aloe vera about 5% of your total recipe.

Sample henna hair coloring recipes:

  • Using 100 grams of henna powder, add 2-3 tbsp of amla powder and 1-2 tsp of aloe vera powder. This recipe is enough for shoulder length hair of average thickness.
  • Using 100 grams of each henna and indigo to create a brown recipe (50/50 of each basically), you can add 2-3 tbsp of amla powder and 1-2 tsp of aloe vera powder into your henna. Mix your henna with warm to hot water and allow to sit for dye release. Once that is ready, mix your indigo with 1 tsp of aloe vera powder and warm to hot water and allow to sit for dye release. Once both pastes are ready, mix together in 1 bowl and then apply. This recipe is enough for bra strap very thick, full hair.
  • Using 50/50 henna and cassia to create a copper hair coloring recipe, add only 1 tbsp of amla powder and 1-2 tsp of aloe vera powder to this recipe. This recipe is for shoulder length hair of average thickness.

How do you like to use amla powder and/or aloe vera powder? We'd love to hear from you. Comment below!
