Organic Cassia Powder: cassia obovata (cassia)*

How To
Mix organic cassia with warm to hot distilled water as a hair treatment (hair recipes can be found on our How To page or use as is). Let the cassia sit for about 15 minutes and then apply onto hair that has been freshly washed with our hair washes or shampoo bars. Hair treatments can stay in the hair for 1-2 hours. When dyeing hair, mix cassia (for golden tones) at 100% OR mix henna and cassia in the proportions needed for the tone you want to achieve. Strawberry blonde is 3 parts cassia to 1 part henna. Copper tones is 50/50 of henna and cassia. Once you blend the dry herbs, then add your warm to hot distilled water and mix well. Allow cassia and henna mix to sit 3-4 hours for dye release. Apply on freshly washed hair. Leave this treatment in hair for 3-4 hours. Rinse out with our cleansing cowash to restore moisture for all hair treatments, masks and coloring. Moisturize, dry and style as usual. Warning: For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. Always test all henna, herbs and products on your skin/scalp before use for possible allergies. Henna and Ayurvedic herbs can be drying to some hair types. Be sure to add necessary moisturizing ingredients to your hair treatments before and after. Henna can also loosen the curl pattern. Be sure to use amla or zizyphus powders or masks to maintain curl pattern.
Cassia is a semi permanent and needs to be repeated every 2-3 weeks. This herb will loosen your curl pattern, should this apply.

Awesome like always!
Oh my god! This cassia es amazing..!!! My hair just love it.it definitely with be part of my routine
I just did my first henna treatment to cover greys on my natural red hair. I went super subtle with 15% henna, 85% cassia. Only afterwards did I realize I really did a CASSIA treatment with a touch of henna! I'm very happy with the result, and now I'm just starting to do proper research on cassia. This stuff is a miracle. While I did have slightly dry ends (I mixed with chamomile tea and no acid juices), the SHINE, the SILKINESS are just unbelievable. I can help the ends with oils and leave-in conditioner, or try adding aloe as Khadji recommends. I wish I had been brave enough to try cassia on it's own at the beginning of the summer, when the frizz was just starting up... I think with regular cassia treatments, I'll finally have a normal-looking head of hair again!
Mixed this with Morrocan henna to make a beautiful golden-coppery color that looked natural & made my hair feel strong
I love the way it gives my hair more of a brownish tone. I’m glad I tried it. It also leaves my hair softer.
